Hello music lovers!

Come check out my gigs this week. I’m playing two new-to-me venues. Wednesday is a short but solo set, book-ended by some awesome local musicians.
David Hakan and I have been practicing up a storm to make our duo set even better. And I get to play even more percussion! Let’s see… I’m now playing some kind of drum stick on my leg, tambourine, plastic block, cabasa, macaroni jar and shaker. I just need some plastic ashtrays and I’m set!
I hope to see some of you out and about this week.
What a great musical week.

What a great musical week.
First, Thursday I got to be on the radio. A guy I met at the Songpull/Songwriters Circle asked me to sing on his show on KKFI. He was doing a “What Would Woody Do?” theme, so he wanted socially conscious stuff. I felt wonderfully (and surprisingly) at ease behind the microphone. I even smoothly pattered about the pledge drive. The feedback I’ve gotten has been positive.
Then Saturday night I had my second show in as many months. My fiddle-playing friend came to do the first set with me and It. Was. Awesome! Good gravy, do we play off each others’ energies! Several friends came out for the first set and many of you stayed through when all the fiddler’s friends left. Thank you!! It is so much more fun to sing for people than artwork. So much the better when those people actually care that you’re playing music.
I am now participating in the Songpull, which will force me to write at least one new song every month. My first was recorded in October. I’ll let y’all know when it goes up. It should also end up on YouTube.
So that’s it for me for now. I can’t believe how quickly things are beginning to move. I hope it continues!
Home again, home again!

Well. I just realized I haven’t officially reported that I am back in Missouri. Upstate New York is beautiful, but my friends and family are here; and for now, so am I. I am thrilled to be back among you all.
In music news, my performance life is newly re-invigorated. I can usually be found Friday nights at First Fridays at the Arts Incubator, third Fridays at the Songpull and Songwriters Circle at Westport Coffee House, and at as many other open mics and gigs as I can get to. I just got back in July and have already had gigs in September and October and have one scheduled for December.
Thank you all for your love and support. Let’s make some music
