The CDs

Hey all! Many of you expressed wishes of a physical CD you could purchase, so we made that happen! We’ve run a limited amount of Circle discs. Please contact me (lezlie@lezlierevelle.com) or the studio (enneagramrecords@hotmail.com) to arrange shipping or drop-off.

I’d like to take a moment to thank all of the men who stand with us. And special thanks to those who encouraged me and worked their butts off to see this project completed. Especially to Lynn & Max. This magic would not exist without you.

Thank you all for your encouragement and support of this project!

The Story

Circle of Women was born as a reaction to a specific event, but has grown far beyond its origins. The song was inspired by a group of women standing together, reading Torah from a several hundred-year-old Kabbalistic Torah scroll. It was the last Beth Torah Rosh Chodesh Elul Women’s Retreat led by Rabbi Vered Harris. She was leaving Kansas City and we were all saying goodbye. I was bowled over by the love and support in that room, and the song was born. Fast forward a few years and I was flooded by requests from all kinds of women asking if they could buy it for Solstice, Hanukkah, or Christmas gifts.

Then, one of my friends oh-so-innocently asked: “And you’ll have a circle of women singing with you, right?” Of course not! I thought. How would I find the time and resources to make that happen? And even if I did, how could I do a project like this without involving my mom–my first circle–and she lives two hours away and how is any of this ever going to happen oh my gosh! (I don’t breathe a lot when I get anxious.)

I don’t think I’ve ever turned a project around so quickly in my life. But it worked.  And everyone showed up. And I am so proud and grateful to have been involved in this undertaking. (So far I’ve cried every time I hear it.)

The women who are responsible for this project coming together—those who inspired, encouraged, nagged, created, and participated—represent an amazing spectrum of ages, professions, and faiths. I hope you enjoy listening to this album single as much as we all enjoyed making it.
